Monti V Czardas for Violin and Piano

With five tempo variations and slow and fast sections, this famous and celebrated piece was Monti's only outright success. For many people this enthralling piece epitomises the character of the Czardas, a traditional Hungarian dance. Vittorio Monti was born in Naples, on January 6th, 1868; he died on June 20th, 1922. This Czardas (Csárdás) is his most famous work, composed around 1904.
